First sign of Spring in SE Michigan: the orange barrels are in blossom… *sigh* Yup, I-475 has been shut down here at the south terminus, so it means that some of my “normal” routes are not available… not a good thing when some of those route combinations have become hard-wired into “auto-pilot”…
More Spring: I have just taken the Miata “out of storage” insurance-wise AND called the body shop to arrange to have the damage incurred by an in-storage poltergeist-type accident repaired (thanks so much, Peeves :sigh:). Should hear from the shop when the replacement parts arrive… hopefully in a few days.
Next sign of spring includes the blossoms and leaves starting to appear on my trees! (click on thumbnails to enlarge photos on a new webpage)
Only the south side of the tree is in full bloom right now
Close-up of the “south-side blossoms”
Yup, the north-side blossoms are sparse
The Plane tree is leafing-out nicely
Proof that this is INDEED a Plane Tree
Imagine my surprise when I learned that these gorgeous color variations are deliberately induced by the introduction of MICROBES!
